Ryan Ofsky is a Bitcoin Core maintainer and an engineer at Chaincode Labs. For years he has worked on splitting Bitcoin Core into separate node, wallet and interface processes, so each part can run and be upgraded on its own. He wrote and maintains libmultiprocess, the library those processes use to talk to each other. That work keeps the reference software easier to review and safer to change as it gets older.
