Oriane Lafuente-Sampietro

Oriane Lafuente-Sampietro is an economist at Université de Rouen Normandie, in the LASTA laboratory. Her doctorate, supervised by Jérôme Blanc, measured what French convertible local currencies do to trade between the businesses that accept them. She co-wrote the 2023 national survey of local currencies in France and the 2025 paper in Regional Studies drawn from that work. She also studies mutual credit systems and the kinds of places where they take hold.
