Michael Ford is a Bitcoin Core maintainer, known on GitHub as fanquake. He looks after the build system and release process, and works to cut the number of outside libraries the software depends on. Fewer dependencies mean fewer ways for the code that runs the network to break or be tampered with. His work is funded by Brink.
