Marc de Basquiat is a French engineer and economist who has spent twenty years working out how France could pay for a universal basic income. He has chaired the Association pour l'Instauration d'un Revenu d'Existence (AIRE) since 2014 and wrote LIBER, a proposal for a flat income paid to everyone and funded by a flat tax, and L'ingénieur du revenu universel (2021). His public simulator lets anyone test the numbers on real household data.
