Adam Gibson, who publishes as waxwing, has written more of JoinMarket than anyone else. JoinMarket is bitcoin software that pays other users to combine their transactions with yours, so an ordinary wallet can get privacy without handing coins to a mixing service. He also publishes free explainers of the cryptography behind that privacy, including From Zero (Knowledge) to Bulletproofs, and prototypes such as aut-ct and PathCoin. All of it goes to fungibility, the property that makes one bitcoin as good as any other.
