Verus
Verus is a decentralized, open-source blockchain protocol with a provably fair launch: no premine, no ICO, and no founder allocation. It combines proof-of-work and proof-of-stake for 51 percent attack resistance, provides self-sovereign VerusID identities, and lets anyone launch independent, interoperable currencies and multi-reserve basket currencies that settle against each other at the protocol level. Currency conversions are processed simultaneously within each block, eliminating miner-extractable value.
