Élef
The élef is the local currency of the Chambéry basin and the Pays de Savoie in France. The association La Monnaie Autrement created it in 2014. One élef equals one euro. It circulates as paper coupons and as a digital account, and about 217 businesses accept it, from farms to restaurants. The network holds an annual gathering called the Village de l'Élef.
One of the larger surviving French MLCs: 12 years, 217 businesses, paper plus digital, with 2026 activity on its own site and on Grand Chambéry's official agenda. Surfaced by the Wikidata sweep, verified on its rebranded domain elef73.org.
