Saule Omarova

Saule Omarova is the Earle Hepburn Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. Her paper The People's Ledger proposes moving everyday deposit accounts to the Federal Reserve, so ordinary people hold public money directly. She writes on banking law and the political economy of finance, and in 2021 was nominated to lead the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
