Researcher at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia who studies contemporary barter and complementary currency systems as private non-bank money. Her work argues that self-sustaining municipal barter exchange systems can serve communities that formal money serves poorly, moving from expert surveys of Bulgarian readiness to concrete municipal designs. She co-founded Sofia's Monetary Research Center and, as president of RAMICS, leads the international research association on monetary innovation and complementary currencies.
