
Karl Widerquist

American philosopher and economist at Georgetown University in Qatar. He has researched basic income for more than 25 years, co-founded the U.S. Basic Income Guarantee Network and the journal Basic Income Studies, and co-chaired the Basic Income Earth Network from 2008 to 2017. His books argue that a guaranteed income gives people the freedom to refuse exploitative work.
