Jens Martignoni studies and designs money that communities issue for themselves. He is editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Community Currency Research and a senior researcher at the ZHAW School of Management and Law in Winterthur, Switzerland. He also runs the economic research and development work at FleXibles, a Zurich association that designs and simulates new money systems. His writing includes a typology of complementary currencies and, more recently, chapters on cooperative models that run an internal currency.
