Development scholar at the International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague whose work turned Argentina's Red de Trueque — the mass community-currency networks of the 2001–02 crisis — into a foundational case of monetary plurality. Author of Argentina's Parallel Currency and editor of Monetary Plurality in Local, Regional and Global Economies, she served as president of RAMICS from 2019 to 2024 and edits the International Journal of Community Currency Research.
