ResearcherCrypto
Andrew Poelstra directs research at Blockstream and works on the cryptography that decides how bitcoin can be spent. He co-authored Bulletproofs, which hides the amount in a transaction while still proving the sums add up, and worked on MuSig, Miniscript and Taproot. He now leads Simplicity, a contract language for the Liquid sidechain whose behaviour can be checked by proof before anyone signs. He also maintains the rust-bitcoin libraries that much of the ecosystem builds on.
