FEBEA (European Federation of Ethical and Alternative Banks and Financiers)

FEBEA is a non-profit federation of ethical and alternative banks, cooperatives and financiers from across Europe, based in Brussels. Its members lend to social enterprises, cooperatives, renewable energy, organic farming, and people the mainstream banking system excludes or leaves unbanked. FEBEA does advocacy with EU institutions on rules that affect social-economy finance, publishes research on the sector, and works with the European Investment Bank and the Council of Europe Development Bank on funding for its members. It holds an annual conference each autumn that brings the European ethical-finance sector together.
